'67S heads - NOS or just brand new at Porsche

In the process of looking for '67S heads and noticed that Porsche still lists as available. Any body have any experience with these? Are they NOS or a new casting? Do they include valves, springs, studs? Wanted to ask here first before I go to Porsche.

Some of you may have noted that I have been searching for ‘67S heads for my targa project. Porsche still lists these heads and can be obtained for a reasonable amount through Sunset in Arizona. As the cost would have made this my last resort I was just wondering if anybody had purchased same and could comment upon the condition and quality. In the meantime I finally located a nice set. My thanks to Tom Butler and Armando Serrano who bent over backwards to help me. Also Paul Abbott who did a fantastic job on my carbs but who was also kind enough to suggest several possible places and people who might have the heads.

I also located a set of heads at Freisinger. They were most helpful and appear to be a good source for parts. I am attaching pictures of the heads they located for me that I have in fact turned down, The cost of the valves, springs and guides would have put me substantially over the cost of what I have just purchased. However, for the person who is doing a concours resto these will be invaluable, Very hard to locate

    Those are for 65-68 911 or 911L. 911S heads will be K1819c.

I may be wrong, but the PET says 911S. I leave that to more knowledgeable people than I. Think the K number has something to do with the batch in which they were cast.

The casting number from those heads does not appear on the PET page you linked, nor should it. PET shows part numbers, the numbers cast into the heads are casting numbers.

Here's a link which might help identify what your pictures are: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-e...reference.html

I'll stand corrected. But what are these? Don't forget these are ROW. Can't link it to anything on table. Also table absent as to K1819c.

But your casting number matches the number on these heads although it does not match the number on Tom's table. See your report to Tom in 2011 on the Pelican.

Are we talking about Freisinger in Germany? I would be very careful with buying anything from them. I bought an oil thermostat which in fact was filled with SAND. The part was sold as used but functioning, which led the buyer to think that it would be full of old dirty oil, which would have been completely ok, but full of sand inside is a completely different thing in my opinion.

All the items I bought was delivered quickly so no complaints there.
