FS: Refurbished BOSCH H1's

This is a great set of H1's. If it's possible to be "almost NOS" these are almost NOS.

It's always interesting to inspect these when they come in. It's obvious that this pair was removed from service when they were almost new due to a problem with the high beam adjustment. The rubber had broken that mounts a critical component which would have made it impossible to adjust them correctly. It's evident that that created a lot of frustration as the heads of the adjustment screws were ground out and the high beam reflector was wedged between the low beam reflector and the housing. After a fairly simple repair and a thorough cleaning I reassembled things and ended up with this almost NOS set.

The reflectors are in perfect original condition both front and back with original identifying stickers. The original chrome trim rings are not a perfect 10 but I rate them at a 9.8. The lenses may be new because they are perfect - lettering on the inside of the lens. New lens and mounting gaskets, two original adjustment screws (the long ones) and six new proper chrome plated adjustment screws, new proper chrome plated fender mounting screws, new 100w and 55w bulbs.

Even though I restore a lot of early lights I still really appreciate originality.

Perhaps I have already equipped so many longhoods with H1's that demand is slowing. Or maybe things are slowing down a bit in the longhood world generally. I am finding with my small niche that activity seems to have slowed quite a bit from the West Coast of the U.S. while picking up from other parts of the U.S. and the world (just sent a set of SWB Euro headlamps to Dubai).

In any event, this is just a friendly bump for a very nice set of H1's.

I'm reducing these H1's to $1,700.00. I don't anticipate any more price reductions as they're just too nice.
