    Auto Motor und Sport 18.04.1964 Test 901 with translation

    well I found again a nice issue of "Auto Motor und Sport"

    I thought this might be of useful interest, despite being in german, a "Porsche Zukunft Sportwagen 901" test, issued 18.04.1964 . . .

    Tested car w plates "S-TC 1" was prototyp VIN 13325. yellow (Special Colour). Built spring 1963 at Karmann, Engine No.11. Was 1963 IAA Frankfurt show car (w "Typ 901" plates, 356 steering wheel, three large instruments on unique dashboard, non-running/mock-up 6cyl engine), 1963 Paris show car, 1963 London show car, 1963 Turin show car. Was late 63 completely dismounted and rebuilt at factory w running 6cyl 120hp (not 130hp as later) engine, received new interior, received new 5-instrument dashboard. Used by late 63/early 64 as presentation/sales/press car driven by Dieter Lenz all over Europe, Press car at 1964 Geneva car show, Press car for 1st AMS report and tested by author Rheinhart Seifert, Assistance car of Tour de France driven by Huschke von Hanstein. Used afterwards as test car and transmission accident in Nov 1965 at 66000km (km total driven in less than two years), Ordered by Helmut Bott to be destroyed, Dec 7th, 1965.
