    FS: NOS 1972 911 S Front Cooler Stone Guard/Shroud

Straight out of the bag. New old stock front stone guard. Very nice rubber gasket. No dents or bends… It's NOS! 1972 only!
This is slightly different than the 69 - 71 version. A couple of the louvers are slightly shorter and the holes for the fittings are positioned slightly different.
Where will you ever find another?

Is this a 72 only item or was it used in 73 as well?

I didn't think 73 used the radiator style cooler?

You are correct. 73 was the trombone setup. Was there no rock protection available on the 73? Mine doesn't have it but I didn't know if that was standard.

The gaps in the louvers makes it easier to access mounting hardware, probably figured that out along the way. G

Till now I have owned three 72 911S. Two were fitted with the trombone and one with the radiator. Was the radiator really fitted on all 72 911S cars?

Is that rubber on the correct side I would swear my 69S plate is on the other side unless the 69S rubber has been re installed incorrectly at some stage

Yes, rubber is correct. Here are pics of my NOS... with a nice film of dust and sloppy fac applied glue.

BTW: I have never seen a 72S that didn't have a radiator style cooler.
