With tight bolt pattern believe this is more like a 911.
Had this with my 356 Rims.
    So please comment
    Thanks

What do the other flat spots look like? Probably for a 1964 356C

The bolt pattern is more 911 than 356.
    356 has wide bolt pattern

356's went to disc brakes (and tight bolt pattern) with the earliest 64 production (made in later 63).

+1 As always Eric is spot on.
    Porsche bolt circles
    356 64&64 MY 130mm
    356 63MY and earlier 205mm

Sorry, I thought that was common Knowledge.
I was looking for the subtle differences between the early 911s and 356 disk brake wheels.
Maybe another thread for that subject.

Harvey do you know the differences?
There is 3.7 and 3.9 (steel thickness?) but when was that introduced? Do you have any factory info on that?
Also, may be, black vs dark grey paint or is that LMZ vs KPZ or even aging?

I know there's some discussion elsewhere, and Richard alludes to it. I believe I've read elsewhere (maybe Dave Seeland) that there was all steel 904 wheels available (130mm obviously) and I believe they were 3,9 only. I have seen some other threads that seemed to indicate that although the 3,7 was supposedly 356, that there were in fact wheels "mixed" between the 356 and early 911 for 3,7 and 3,9. I can see that happening on spare wheels (either at the factory or at the dealer), but don't necessarily see that happening on the production line. I once owned a very early set of all steel 3,9 wheels. They came to me in a large parts collection from a collector who said those steelies had come off of his 904 (#092). I sold them a LONG time ago.

I don't know what rim sizes were available for the 904, but 4.5 seems to be small. If so, the earliest 4.5 w/ a 3.9 code we could find would probably a tell re. when the change was introduced.
