FS: SEV Marchal Amplilux with Yellow Lenses

    ** SOLD **

Well, these are cool. I've always been fascinated by SEV Marchal Ampliluxes, the main competitor to H1's at the time. Except these are mounted in place of sealed beams in Hella U.S. headlight housings. Ampliluxes and H1's were invented because folks wanted to use halogen bulbs in their headlights. The problem was that until the dual filament H4 bulb was introduced in the early 70's the only halogen bulb available had a single filament. In order to accommodate two beams, high and low, the clever solution was to use two single filament halogen bulbs along with two reflectors. H1's used only H1 bulbs while Ampliluxes used one H1 bulb and one H3 bulb.

This set of SEV Marchal Ampliluxes has perfect yellow lenses probably because they always sat behind the outer lens. I built these using original Porsche SWB sealed beam components - Hella housings and retainer rings that have been powder coated. I added new high quality chrome plated brass trim rings and new correct Hella SB19 lenses. Included are four new bulbs, fender mounting gaskets and mounting screws.

You don't see a lot of SEV Marchal Ampliluxes and you see even fewer with yellow lenses.

    Price: $985.00

    Thanks for looking.

I figured these would sell quickly. Just about the coolest headlights you can put on a short wheel base Porsche. Thanks Jason.

    Cheers,
