    1973 2.8 RSR oil cooler

In excellent condition is this factory 1973 2.8 RSR oil cooler. Very rare as I believe there were only 52 2.8 RSR's built.

"Highest and Best" with an escalation clause? Nice piece VZ! Priceless for someone with a 1M+ RSR, cooler cores do blow...

PS: Actually, the last one I know of sold for $8,500 about six, or seven years ago. It was NOS, I sold it!

For those interested, if you remove both oil cooler mounting brackets, this 73' RSR BEHR front oil cooler then becomes a 914-6 GT piece, same front oil cooler. The RSR borrowed it from the GT a 3 short years later.

...and if I keep talking, I may convince myself into buying it.

    Very nice part!

Would you guys be kind enough, to pull the relief valve out and take some measurements?

    Spring and bolt.

    Thanks!

    Olivier.

Has this cooler been pressure tested?

It looks just like the '74 RSR front oil coolers I've seen as well...

No Jim because it recently came off a 935. Not sure how it got there but it did the job.

73' looks nothing like the 74' RSR BEHR front oil cooler, other than they both have a core and mounting brackets. Size is not the same, not to mention the supply/return ports are oriented differently.

PS: Sorry Vanz, I don't mean to turn your for-sale thread into a technical pictorial reference. Free bumps for what they're worth...
