    New Porsche LWB door pockets

Too lazy to research; how do the currently offered Porsche door pockets compare in quality and cosmetics to original?

Close up pics of differences would be a bonus.

    Thanks.

. . . had no idea that Porsche was selling these again

    I thought only re-pros were available, anymore --- or 'used' ones . . .

    Yep, a much needed item.

One of the cool kids was nice enough to call me and give me the Inside Baseball that I was looking for.

Man on the ground says Porsche.

Given the choice, personally I would prefer NOS. (I don't know anyone who wouldn't.)

I wish the repros were made of ABS not fiberglass or cardboard. The originals warped almost instantaneously.

I have not seen any repros that look exactly like the OE parts.

I'd like to know if the later items will fit on LWB doors - the improved design with flat tops that serve as lids.

They fit perfectly, I got tired of those sagging original pockets and put some newer ones on. Unfortunately they were factory, the same cardboard crap. I ordered some fiberglass pockets from appbiz and could not get them to fit. I finally found some ABS pockets from a guy in Florida and he recovered them and lined them with some utrasuede I supplied. They are fantastic.
Of course not original to a 73, but they hold up much better and don't have that ridiculous bungee cord.
