    Stupid question about speaker grill

What keeps the speaker grill down on a 72 dashboard?

Gravity and little clips in the dash that grab onto the pegs of the speaker grille.

I believe only 69 has the little clips that hold the grill in. The rest of the years are threaded studs I believe.

threaded studs that push into plastic receivers, similar to plastic wall anchors,,,,which I have used !

    Impossible to remove! Any tips/techniques?

Manufactured a tool from sheet metal - full leverage, pulling up panel with plenty of force, dash bending up with it...no dice.

Guess the previous owner glued to grill onto the dash. Window out, remove the dash ( 7 bolts) and you wll find out what they did.
