    I'm thinking from model year 1967 - on. It's the improved safety latch

    Did the change also match the larger screw head size that holds the lock mechanism to the door?

    I think 65-66 2 pieces that can be separated and rebuilt. I think the strikers change in '67 Just looked in Dr. Johnson book and found this
