    back when I was shopping for my 911 in 1998 the average aluminum lid was $1200 to $1400. then around 2009 the prices just took off. so now the range is $3000 to $4000. Crazy. Chris

    Very nice! Seems as if this was on an "E" - based on the faint traces. Do you know if that was originally so? And if so which year?
