Thread: RS 85 litre fuel tank bracket details required

RS 85 litre fuel tank bracket details required

I have a car that was delivered new with the 85 litre plastic tank but has since had it removed.

I wish to reinstate the tank

I need the dimensions of the threaded steel piece that rivets into place in the front trunk, this is the piece that the tank hold down brackets
bolt into and is not visible once rivetted into place

Only cars with 85 litre tanks have the bracket so hoping someone who has their car apart can help.

Porsche part number is 911 201 313 00 and there are 2 per car plate 2/1 page 9 in my 72/73 book. #80 in the pic

Searched long and hard best I could come up with was a picture of the plates in another for sale thread.

It is the 2 black ones I seek.

    Hi,
I can provide the details as I will remove them prior to a bare metal paint job.
I can remove them on Saturday 16 April but not earlier.
You will not have to wait longer than that.

Thanks for posting but I received an email from a friend in the USA last night with full engineering drawings for the plate
so looks like I am all good now.

    Drawings?

    You're kidding, right?
A 7 year old could whittle these out.

    BTW: Thickness is 4mm.
