    FS: @eBay - 1965 911 300569 Ruby red black

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...m=291733869768

Whats wrong with it? There are things that just don't seem right (like the trunk vin)
and it seems to have a 5 piece dash? etc..
Please chime in, I need an education

    Cheers friends

Too much to list, I think it was discussed already here somewhere else. Most stupid mistake is the mix up of the data on the vin plate at the a-post.

Thanks for the links. I am curious to know what is not right on this car so I don't make those mistakes on mine.
    Cheers all

If you read through the commentary on those threads it's not difficult to know what "not" to do. I am amazed at how fortunate novices are to have the resources that currently exist. All you have to do is study. With the exception of some very small details it's possible for anyone to oversee a first class restoration. The biggest problem I see is that amateurs try to cheap out on stuff. If you do a '65 properly don't be surprised to have 200k+ in it. If you're trying to cut corners then you will get exactly what you pay for. Or less.

Good luck and keep paying attention.

And keep your day job so you can pay us.
