What's this part and upholstery question.

Hello, I need some direction, I'm completing the reassembly and came upon a part I have forgotten where it came from, can you tell me what it is used for or where it belongs? It's the silver looking part in the photo and I had it bagged without identifying it.

The other photo is the carpet piece on the back side of the rear seat, the image shows the carpet piece with the backer / stiffening board exposed. My question... when glued in place should the backer board be facing out as in the photo or not?

    Thanks for the help,
    Mike.

Metal part goes on the pedal board , its the stop for the clutch pedal. Cardboard goes under the carpet, I think its there to reinforce the carpet where it bends when the seat is upright

clutch pedal stop is missing rubber bumper, the rubber gets inserted in between the raised portion on top of stop

Hi, the clutch stop rubber is the same as that on the pedal assembly and is available new from Porsche. Not sure how specific you want to be but locking bolts shown are incorrect and should be socket heads and with a locking washer.

Thank-you for your replies Jim and Alan, I will search for the rubber bumper and appropriate bolts and lock washers.

Seems pricey for a bit of rubber but now you know what to look for.

Particularly since you can get it direct from a Porsche dealer for under $2, part number I think is 901-423-391-00
