    Pre-68 Hella headlight seal...?

What is the correct rubber seal for the SWB Hella SB19 buckets. ? I understand there are two versions, thin and the later LWB thick seal. I am currently installing the buckets and want to set them at the right depth to receive the correct rubber seal for these SWB lights.

    Thanks, Dave

I don't think Porsche would have had two different specs for headlight bucket depth, I think the problem is incorrect aftermarket seal thicknesses.

Thanks for the reply Ed. The current offering from Porsche are certainly thicker than the one's i removed. I have the thin version from the VW parts bin so i will see what looks best.

The ones used on 356 are thinner, maybe also on VW.....

    Stoddard offers three:
Two versions of thin for 356:
    PCG-631-115-00
    NLA-631-115-00

    One for 911/912

Thanks John. Didn't the 356 use the Hella SB19 light bucket.?

Probably explains why i removed the thin seal from my SWB light housings. I will try both and see what one sits better on the wing / fender.
