    1967 2.0S engine value

    Hello guys

I´m thinking about selling an original 1967 2.0S engine, Type 901/02, engine number 961091 that is fitted in my 2.2T car, and would rather look for a correct engine for this car.

As you know this is a special engine with an early alum case. It is complete but has Zenith carbs fitted insted of its correct Weber. It runs but it is advisable to rebuild it.

What price do you think would be correct for this engine as it is? Which one if I sell it completely rebuilt?

    Thank you!

Since no one else is willing to help...

I would think it should be worth at least $12,000.

The engine number might be of interest (and of value) to the party with the matching chassis...

Yes. In fact I would be very happy to even find the matching chassis.

My post was in jest Chuck.
Even my wife knows that a complete 67S motor is worth more than $14k.

However I was serious about rebuilding it. That's still a bad idea.

Sorry if this post is not suitable to the rules of this forum.
It is not my intention to negociate a possible trade here. There is no market where to check this engine value, that´s why I have asked for help. In fact I have not taken de decision to sell it yet.
If administrators understand this is not correct, please, don´t hesitate in deleting it or moving to the correct forum.

Price inquiries occur here in General Info. You may have to post pictures and additional details to obtain a useful response.

Ohh long time 911 guru may I be so bold to ask what the best way you may suggest would be to locate the current owner of car 1967 911 S ID#307793; as a few months ago I purchased the complete and together ran/will run (no compression test done yet) 67 911 S engine that came in that car when new (by the latest data I just received from my sources) I don't want to list it for sale yet in the classifieds here until I here from you and a few members ideas on same. Sure it's long shot; but it would be great to re-unite the two again. JT
