Service Offered: Alternator Restoration, $265, Starters too

I am offering an alternator restoration service. It would be your exact alternator, not a swap with a rebuilt core.

I recently went through alternator trouble with a '68 911, such a pain to change out if something is off. I am collaborating with a guy who has rebuilt starters and alternators his entire life.

I was also thinking it would be nice to have a thread that would detail exactly how it should be done, proper finishes and get everything spot on.

The price is $265 to have an alternator or starter rebuilt.

Below I will post a before and after picture of an alternator he did for an early 911. It was just something I had lying around, if anyone knows exactly what it is, feel free to jump in, it was different than what I have usually seen on early 911s. I also had an alternator and starter rebuilt for a 1980 911 Turbo. Unfortunately I only have after pictures for these.

Feel free to message me if you are interested. Also, feel free to offer opinions on how they should look when done.

I had trouble finding a reliable and high quality shop, maybe some members here have had the same problem, hopefully I can help.

I noticed I let this alternator thread go by the wayside, but I am still offering it. Please get in touch with me or feel free to jump in and post whatever you want.

When doing an engine build this is one of those things that you want to take care of and not worry about. I've had engines all done and then heard funky noises from the alternator, I just send them out now no matter what. I recommend doing that, get in touch with me if you want my help.
