Baudett ... No need to feel ashamed ....it is not your fault that the translation engine performs poorly.... yes the rectangular area that you cleaned is distorted due to "hand building" .... it is also an area were rust can appear because of its construction/vulnerability.... there will be a
rectangular " area on the other side of the car... It is likely hidden by the plumbing and thick under coating...

I am going to reread your messages but I think you are indicating a place to look at and I do not understand it, if so, a photo pointing to a next place would be appreciated! We are looking for someone on the island to work the chassis but that step I do not know how long it will take us (I understand a lot) so since I will not be able to advance in puttys and paint etc (due to the future stretched chassis) I am interested in continuing to gut the car, what I mean. If the site you indicate, you think there will be work, I am not afraid to look at it! I have to lift the chrome on the passenger door, the chrome on the foot so that I can be understood. I hope there to find the history of the clear painting.! For now I am still investigating Roll-cage. Any post "where there is good information" about their mounts?
I keep thinking about what the previous owner told me. It gave me a kind of definition of what "escapes" were like at first. If at any time someone who is involved with this forum 100% and who knows Spanish, it will be a pleasure to pass the conversation on so that you can understand the others. From the call of these days to the previous owner, the only thing that is even clearer to me is nothing .... xD! greetings and good sunday

understood... so, your goal is to take the car apart and clean it as best as possible for a body man to inspect and repair as needed... do not worry about what you find until the entire car is striped of paint and under coating..... ( it is then that you will more understand its construction) ... thank you Baudett .... and enjoy...

the intention is to clean up the car but without lifting all the parts. Outwardly you can observe its state, more or less is the line that will follow in the future (If when you have to stretch the chassis you have to lift all the layers that I do not know and if someone can guide me in it would be helpful). I will continue looking for rusts and trying to leave a good canvas for someone to stretch the car, then, we will have to assess whether we send the car to a specialist to finish it or return it to our hands. Things to value, budgets ... Thank you very much for your encouragement! I will keep hanging what I can! Salds

I am investigating roll cage and my question is in relation to those of 1972. According to what I read in this forum, a forward slash was added that year. Can anyone illustrate a photo of this type of roll cage? Salds

I would never have thought that these shapes could be factory made. If not for your comment I think I would have never learned that. I think I have photos of both places but certainly, the passenger side I think I remember I do not have rust. Could the front koni be broken in the accident? I thought that because of that deformation in the wheel cage but now I don't know what to think since the only thing that made me believe in that has "faded" ... On the other hand there are the late dates on the front koni ... .

just looking at these few photos ... i dont see any evidence of lateral or side impact.... only the damage from the bottom that looks like the car fell of of a lift onto an object... this would not damage the steering rack area... but if the car was driven off the road way and landed on rocks etc. it could have bent the strut, but an accident like that would possibly bend a wheel also...

Hello Bob, I am going to break the vehicle and that way the places that I think are damaged by the "accident" are more marked

The first image does not have to do with the accident, only that I found one with a better angle

I think everything is good quality photos , I hope you enjoy them!

also have to add the golden welds. Present in the hood and in the bumper! Also on the glass moon

most of your pictures did not cone in.... but the first one that has the vents, i think i see a long vertical weld bead about 50mm from the vents.... if this is a weld bead it is not factory, all of hte welds in this area should be spot welds. as you see below the vents 100mm or so... i would suggest that you clean the area up completely so as to find all repairs and also reveal the original spot welds. once you find all of this you have a chance of forensically figuring out what damage and repair was done...

I appreciate the detail again, yes, it is a line but I thought that it was from the factory. No apparent damage is observed. I show you a photo shown in the images above. I do not know why they are not shown but I see the link link and it's fine. If anyone can take a look at it it would be fine. If you can't go back up.
