I haven't measured the turns ratio but the resistance should be ok from this Rabbit/Jetta/Scirocco coil. The diameter is wrong and the terminals are wrong but it should be OK electrically.

I have been using a Bosch "blue" 027 as a "driver" coil you bypass the resistors entirely because the blue has an internal resistor. Seems to work OK.

Lars: the symptoms of coil failure are: Stuttering under load, stuttering under high RPM. Then you shut the car off and everything seems fine for a few minutes, then it starts up again. Then the whistling of air through your vent windows and your original factory profile window seals becomes particularly painful and high pitched-- this is the sound of the wind whistling because the motor has shut off. . . Good luck and please print out L57 in color and bring that and a multimeter that does dwell such as the Actron CP 76777 on your road trip-- if you bring it, odds are you won't need it Be safe and have fun.
