HELP: Headlight Bucket Mounts: Diameter & Thread Pitch?

I want to tap the threads in the (4) headlight bucket mounts. Two different size taps appear to "fit" but i don't want to wreck the threads, so I'm asking for the wisdom of the community before I move forward...

My car takes sugar scoops. The parts manual isn't clear (at least to me) about mounting the headlight assembly to the bucket. The PET appears to show part # 900.014.046.02 "pan head screw -- AM -- 4 x 10," mounting the assembly to the bucket. Because of the way the illustration is broken up, I'm just not sure that I am reading it correctly.

So, can someone confirm that it takes a 4 x 10 fastener? If not, does anyone know the diameter and thread pitch of the fastener that holds the headlight assembly to the bucket?

And if you have a photo it would be really helpful, too. (Not sure what the Germans mean by "pan head".)

    Thanks for any assistance.

I'm not sure if it's different in German, but this is a pan head screw (bolt)

Ed is correct, of course. 4 X .70. When you say above that it is 4 X 10, that would imply a 10mm long screw, which seems too short, about 4/10 of an inch.

i should have expressed my thanks previously. the thread pitch help was really appreciated. (there are some weird angles to those tabs, however.)

once i tapped the threads, we simply selected the screw that gave us enough length to pass through the assembly and full-depth threads in the bucket-tabs,without much left over. (i didn't measure the length.)

as always, this community is great at sharing information. thank you.
