FS: *RARE* Pair of Fuchs 7R (2/68 dates)

    *** SOLD ***
Selling a date matching pair of rare Fuchs 7R wheels. Both wheels are date stamped 2/68. I’m not an expert, but that should put them fairly early in the production timeline for the 911R. The wheels are 15x7 and appear similar to Deep Sixes but have a unique offset so that the extra inch of width is on the inside of the wheel. I currently have another pair of 7Rs on my 72T with Deep Sixes on the front and I really love the combo. It’s a great ride and they look awesome on a narrow bodied car.

The first wheel has a faded ink stamp that is visible but challenging to make out. I believe it should read 901.361.012.05. It also has its original casting stamps "901.361.012.04" and “5 1/2JX15” along with the “2/68” date stamp.

The second wheel has a faded ink stamp reading “7JX15” and date stamp of “2/68”. No other casting stamps are visible and I believe it was common for these to be ground down when 7Rs were made.

Both wheels are in good condition but have a number of scuffs and nicks as seen in the pictures. These can be easily removed if you decide to have the wheels restored.

    $6000 shipped to CONUS

Thanks stretch. You could always buy my 2/68 pair now and then sell your 6/69 pair later!

Very nice Tom. In as great a shape as these are , they are worth more un-restored than a restored pair, imho. I'd leave them as is for sure.

A great price for these. How much will a nice condition, un-restored pair, with early '68 dates cost tomorrow??
