Wheels look to be original ARE "D" spoke Torque Thrusts in 5X130mm pattern. Last available new...mid '70's...and they were $61.50 each. These wheels are a good deal at this price.

You can still buy new American Racing Torque Thrust aluminium wheels, full set under $1,000, according to Google search.

I thought the old ones where magnesium.

What is different or special about these, please?

    Thanks

They started in mg then went to al (early 70s?). The specialness of these is they have proper offset for lwb cars, tho some squeeze them on swb too. And of course the proper lug pattern. As the Swede said, those specs haven't been offered by ARE for a long time. I think they are missing the boat.

Yes, you can get them new in aluminum with same offset and lug pattern. I made a few phone calls.

I was just wondering if there was a design change.
