    Engine lid grill help needed please

    I am wanting to confirm that this is indeed a '68 grill? It is black, wish it was polished metal. Were any factory versions black? Maybe was painted at some point.

    Also, if it is the correct one, is there a service or anyone here refurbishing them? I seem to remember seeing that before, but couldn't find it with the search. Thanks for assistance. Name:  image.jpg

    Yep, 68 three bar grill. None were black from the factory and the pictured grill has probably been painted. Can't see going to all the trouble of reanodizing in black. I've stripped paint from a couple of painted grills with decent results. Depending on whether the slats were sanded, you might have decent finish under there.

    Also correct for 1969 cars.

    King of Trim in California does excellent work restoring these.
