    Pagani Huayra

I had seen a couple of Pagani Hondas before, but had never been treated to the sight of one of the brand-new Huayra models before last Saturday's visit to Canepas' Cars and Coffee...........but then, where else could you possibly expect to run into one of these apparitions.

$ 2.6 million, 750+ hp, AMG one-man / one-motor type engine construction V-12 bi-turbo motor with PDK-type transmission, all carbon-fiber chassis and construction with jewel-like titanium bits everywhere, leather in colors and of a quality and involving craftsmanship that puts even Bugatti Veyrons to shame, etc. etc............I'm sure thos who are truly interested in the details can get them all far more accurately from the interweb.

Yes, immensly impressive, blah, blah blah..............but yet I can't help but wonder just how good a car it is. Oh, sure it can go fast as Hell, and it better be able to exceed all of our collective skills and abilities, but I wonder if it posses or even has the ability to approach the capacity to become the trusted, loyal, true old friend that works so well on so many levels and in so many different circumstances for so many of us as a good, honest 911 - no matter the vintage..........just my take on this type of "car" in general- your milage may vary.
