New early engine lid grills (65-67)

As nice looking used early engine grills are hard to find I am thinking to buy a new one.

My first choice would be to buy one from the official Porsche center nearby:
    91155904100 LUFTEINLASSGITTER 793,69 €

Did anyone of you already buy this new Porsche part?

Is this different from the JP Group one? I saw one coming out of a JP Group box and that was of awfull quality.

Are there next to the Porsche part and the JP group part (if they are already different?) other alternatives?

And off course, if anyone of you -not a scam artist- has a nice used one, please let me know.

I just sent you a pm. I have a superb condition original. I am not a scam artist

I am the fellow who had Steve Carroll's long lost '67S decklid that we just got him reaquainted with. I have an interesting group of oem parts and so far have just been answering the call when folks are seeking the items I have - there is a garage full. I have also been acquiring - from sellers here parts for my '68 912 so buying/trading/selling is all ok with me.

Porsche just buys their classic car parts from the same manufacturer all the other guys do, they don't make their own. They merely have a very high quality standard (that is why the tags say geprüfte Qualität and not GENUINE PORSCHE like they used to). They do have some VERY nice offerings of reproduction parts.

I'd try to find the best original you can find and have victor miles or the like restore it to perfection.

Victor Miles doesn't restore grilles. I called him and asked.

    Who does grille restoration?

    Pay attention to Jules.

Porsche does not manufacture their own vintage parts. Original will always be preferable to a reproduction. You should only purchase reproductions as an act of desperation.
