    Not quite Clyde .

My matching numbers book was bought for me as a christmas present when published in December 1993 so don't know price my wife paid but assuming equivalent to sticker let's say euro 110 ( for ease of maths since currency didn't exist till 1999 and euro used to be stronger)... So let's say a ten times multiple on this particular book as an example.

The right correct RS bought well in early 90s at a market low-point following the late 80s Classic car price bubble conceivably has a multiple of 20 or 30 or maybe even higher depending on the model and condition ....if we use Hegarty guide excellent M472 £485000 (€630000) or M471 £842,000 (€1m) for comparison purposes.

Quite topical becase I had car valuation figures to hand having just renewed my RS insurance today and had to adjust its agreed value upwards with agreement of insurer. Can't say what I paid for my car back then but doubt we'll see those price points even in the worst-case scenario of the classic market crash seuthsayers
