    Help: Headlight ring retainer clip

I've searched this forum as well as the parts books and can't find an answer.

When I put the headlight assembly back on my '73, there isn't a retainer clip to screw the bolt into, only the piece poking up from the fender inside the headlight bucket. I'm sure that when I removed the headlight there was a retainer clip there but I can't find that part for sale. Did I dream it up? Does the bolt just screw into the tab inside the headlight bucket? If there is a clip, where can I find it? I've searched all of the online retailers.

    Thanks!

The tab should be threaded. You can always re thread or weld a nut to the back if that is no longer possible.
