    SWB Euro Tail light

Need close up pics of lettering on current aftermarket Euro lenses vs original please.

I seem to remember a thread on details but can't find it.

    Thanks

Don't have any examples of the current repro ones but here are some photos of left and right NOS originals:

    Thanks Tim.
Matches my orphan NOS left. (Looking for its sibling BTW)

Below is a currently offered lense from one of the vendors on this board. Besides the completely incorrect color a major faux pas seems to have been committed by adding the 64 DOT date.

    Hi Frank,

I've also got an orphan NOS Euro tail light, let me check, but I think it's for the right hand side. It might help you out?

    Cheers

Hi there, I have a pair of aftermarket rear Euro lenses to go - I can't see a 64 DOT marking on them, but then I can't see it in the pics above either! Where is it or would it be if it were there? Many thanks, Robert

The original lights I've seen do not have it. The aftermarket lenses I have, do.

    Post pics of yours?

No SAE on original Euros but the repro molds were from US lenses. Usual attemtion to detail. Id love to know what an nos right rear might cost these days.

Ah, interesting detail. Mine have the SAE code too - possibly from the same source. Many thanks, Robert

It is a right hand side. I'll send you a PM.
