Thread: FS: 911 Front Ball Joint Nut Socket

    Love this tool! What worked very well for me was to hold Jimmy's tool onto the ball joint with two long zip ties. This holds the tool tight against the ball joint. Then use your floor jack that hopefully has a swivel on the pad on top of the floor jack. Place the socket on a 4 foot long cheater bar, (maybe shorter if you are stronger than me!- I just had a 2' cheater bar with a 2' length of steel pipe) then with socket on top of the floor jack, lift the assembly until the car starts rising.
    When you start rotating the cheater bar, nothing can twist or slide off. This made the job fun instead of crazy. Didn't have a torque wrench that was heavy enough, so just pulled as hard to install as it took me to remove
