Thread: Turn Signal Decals?

    Turn Signal Decals?

Forgive me for the less-than-ideal description: Not too long ago I discovered the plastic housing (?) ("hood"?) that is positioned over the steering column in my '72 911S Targa, and adjacent to the turn signal stem, was cracked. My mechanic has sourced a new one, but without the decals or stickers that indicate Right and Left Turn, (possibly) high-beam, etc. I believe there are 2 decals (?).

Can anyone tell me where I can turn to get new replacement decals? Or if unavailable, what it the most dependable way to remove them from the old plastic intact and re-attach to the new piece?

    THANKS Much.

Mark -- Thanks much for the quick response. I am looking into the options.

But interesting factoid: (I couldn't find either the German or English version on the Stoddard site at all, at first, BUT...) The Stoddard site does show only the German version, BUT the English version is available and in stock. (Might help someone else).

I don't think ROW used markers, my ROW 72 has nothing labled,,,wasn't required.

    Mornin' Wayne,

You may want to check out the Aase offerings to see if they are to your liking for the clamshell (that plastic steering column cover).

I have found most of the time it is best to search for something using the part #. I go to Stoddard most of the time, but google will give plenty of results once you have the part #.

Ed and all: Thanks again for the valuable background. Pardon my ignorance: Does "Rest of the World" refer to all cars that were destined for non-US sales? From what I can tell, my car's old clamshell is original and it has English decals. It was purchased by a Doctor in Florida but initally picked up and driven in Europe.

Although he took European delivery it was probably a U.S. specification car.

    Hi!

My car had these on it:

I am very happy with the versions I bought from AASE.
