I would like to purchase depending on how deep and long the scratch is and if there are any dents in the housing or base.
Shipping to 52803.
I can't tell from the pictures on my laptop (scratch) so I'll need to look at my home computer.
Thanks,
Ron

Is this a small Durant?
If spinmd doesn't buy, I would buy it.

Looks like the larger Durrant. I'll take it if the others pass

Hmm, I don't recall passing... Thanks for the follow-up (note sarcasm).

Hi Mike,
Probably so, but I've learned you gotta' be somewhat careful here (and on PP) as I've bought some really POS stuff from members with differing opinions on condition. If I sell something, I have no problem providing additional info/photos to the first person offering to purchase. A simple response would've been courteous.

this was a very interesting sale. i note that someone offered to buy with conditions; someone else offered to buy it after mis-identifying it as the 'small' durant, and a third guy just said, 'i'll take it if others pass.'
i can appreciate the caution of 'spinmd' and i understand when people ask for clarification. making certain of your decision to purchase avoids a really ugly situation that rarely turns out well. spinmd did the right thing. at the same time, the item remains for sale, and the seller has some rights, as well.
mfitton has it right. if someone shows up with a cash decision while the 'first' guy is asking questions, the seller has the right to make is own life simpler and choose the buyer who has decided unconditionally.
i've had all of these experiences, both as seller and as buyer, but not on the same item. despite the conflicts, it looks like everyone did the right thing. it's good when things work properly, right?
