    carpet installation final details needed

    just glued 95% of the carpet in the car ( a 68 S targa )

    I noticed the kick panel pieces have a lot of extra leather trim , how far up does it actually goes , see picture

    flush under dash trim , flush over , mid way , any reference picture

    The material ends up being flush with the bottom of the knee guard. You cut it a 1/4" longer, then fold over and glue into channel. You want to see a folded edge, not a bare cut edge. There is no material on the channel between the knee guard and the dash (about 6 ") That portion of the channel is just painted black.

    If anybody has any pics of how this extra flaps installs, would be very appreciative. From what Ed stated above, sounds a bit involved. Don't know if the Youtube Lakewell video shows this step.? Thx

    If i only need one inch extra on top of the carpet why does the manufacturer add almost a foot
    now on the road 914-6
