    Good shape, pin not broken. Shaft taped, not sure why.

    That's the best excuse I've read on here in a while: "not sure why." Why not remove the tape and find out why. Then you can share what you've found with those who might be interested in buying a rust-free shifter, rather than acting like it's really none of your business. Whatever happened to truth in advertising?

    Steve, I'm happy to do that, but didn't think to at the time - silly, I know, but I had a lot to photo. It's about 30 min away and I'll get to it asap.

    Pics without tape - not bad, but does have some minor pitting. Much of the black came off with some mild solvent and a rag - assume the rest will come off with more elbow grease, but no guarantees.
