FS: Sev Marchal 810 Driving Lights with padded Vinyl Covers

Pair of 810 Iode lights - (not fog lights even though many people call them that). 5" lens, 5.5" total diameter, good condition, with some minor scratching on the chrome - most should polish out, lenses are good, gold cat emblem worn off on one lens. Rare black vinyl lens covers - one has small tear. Be good for bumper or TTG mounting.

    $200

Greg, where did you get the notion that everyone is incorrect when they call the 810 a fog light? The Marchal 810 is a fog pattern. The Marchal 812 is the driving light in this series. Not to disparage your thread but, I hate to see
miss information presented which I don't believe is factual. It only confuses people that might use your thread for reference.

I welcome more accurate info being presented. My understanding of fog vs. driving lights - fog lights need to have fluting that has a vertical cutoff, otherwise the light will go straight out with a spread because of the vertical fluting. That is exactly what most driving (distance) lights have, and what these have. Maybe there is a bulb position of other factor I am not considering?

I guess I am a little biased, because I see people calling any auxiliary light a fog light, even when they are spot or pencil beam lights, so I am quick to judge.

No worries. The horizontal cut is not necessary to define a fog. More to do with the spacing of the fluting for dispersement of the beam. Consider the 911 US Fog, Hella TN4. No horizontal cut yet the increased fluting causes a wider pattern. Also the under bumper 139.
