    Early 911 Production Wheels

    I hope this is not redundant to anything previously posted.
    Please provide feedback on the accuracy of the table (below). The intention is to indicate general MY availability for each wheel type/size on production 911s.
    Questions:
    What Fuchs wheel widths were identified as 'hearts' and during what model years?
    Were 6R and 7R Fuchs technically available option for production 911s?
    Were 8.0"x15" Fuchs technically available option for production 911s?
    Did I omit any wheel type or MY of availability?

    Thanks for any assistance.

    You have omitted 6 x 15 steel wheels for 72 ym cars. I don't think 5.5 steel wheels were available in 72 or 73, except for space saver spares, and I'm not sure of that, either. Wasn't the base wheel for a 73 a cookie cutter, and a 6 X 15 painted steel wheel for 1972?

    Regards

    There is a thread started about the various Fuchs wheels.
    Also there is a thread about early steel.
    As Jim said, there are some errors in your chart. Besides his;
    1/71 is about the last deep 6X15 replaced with the flat 6X15 in production about 3/71
    The hearts was removed about 8/70 from the deep 6X15...so 69-70 had the "hearts".
    There is some evidence that some early 69Ts had 5.5X15s on them...More evidence that early 912s had them.
    8x15s were available as an order option about 3/73...or so. They were available prior from Werk one.

    Much more...

    I had a 6/68 deep six but i dont think they were rare. Deep sixes were widely produced in June of '68. I've seen others with the same date. Now this rim is an early deep six.
