    Black Eye for USGA

    I will not give this organization another penny of my money. What they did to Dustin Johnson in the final round was ridiculous, the official walking with him asked him if he caused his ball to move and his answer was NO and was told to play the ball as is! Instant replay clearly showed he did not ground his club behind the ball and the ball moved backwards down the slope, if he would have caused it to move with his putter head it would have moved forward. Then they compound the situation by telling DJ we are going to decide if there is a penalty at the end of the round. These greens were 14 - 14.5 on the stimp meter and have a lot of slope in them and it is hard just to get your ball to stay put on some of these slopes when you place it back down after marking it. Please join me in teaching this archaic organization a lesson and do not contribute any money to them for at least a couple of years.

    Shame on USGA!

    They won't never do things like others...

    In a game where a player is his own referee, not to trust him when he said he didn't cause to make the ball moving is a complete nonsense. That's pure suspicion and it's not good for the game.

    Actually, on the planet, there is a lot of countries where golf is not very popular anymore: Sweden, Scotland, Germany for example. With such a strange behavior, you don't make it smart and sexy!

    The rules are too complicated and Royal and Ancient is trying to simplify them. This story doesn't help for good advertising.

    The Scots invented it while out drinking in the dunes by the sea. Tree branch and a stuffed sheepskin sac was all that was required.
