Do both latches have slots on the pins, (for a circlip), that hold the linkages? Could you post detailed pictures of the latches/pins without the circlips?

the one on the left side of pekkas 1st pic looks like the very early version...have a close look..many differences
the left one of my pic is dated 5/65
the one to the right 8/65
there were problems with the early mechanism of getting blocked under certain circumstances...mentioned also in the workshop manual...
parts catalog says early version used up to vin 301959
