Original Patina'd Porsche 911 or 912 Radio Delete Plate

Bought this at a swapmeet years ago and have decided I am not going to use it so am doing some house cleaning. Lettering is heavily patina'd, but it is an original plate that is still legible and perfect for a survivor type car. $150 shipped in CONUS inc. Pay Pal.

Were these only used on the brushed metal dashes? I thought the basket weave and smooth vinyl dashes just had the vinyl material covering the radio spot.
