    These plates were a clear material, plastic or acetate, I don't know???

    The silver lettering and black background are applied to the back side. I have seen where both the plate can have fractures and the coloring can be separating.

    Information on delete plates not a comment on the OP for sale item.

    This is not wrapped in plastic. The photo is a pretty good representation of what it looks like. I guess you could call it heat fractures? I have seen these were the fractures involve the whole plate. This was installed in the car for many years because the owner was saving the original Motorola radio. The radio was in like new condition when I got the car at the expense of this radio delete plate.
