FS: SWB radio delete plate $225 shipped

This is a really nice original SWB radio delete plate. It has some minor surface scratches but nothing that is deep or serious. It's really nice but I'll let you decide.

$225 shipped anywhere in the world

OK experts, now I'm thoroughly confused. This radio delete plate has the same font as on the SMC copy http://www.sierramadrecollection.com...68-p24624.html

The NOS plate sold recently is different http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...o-delete-plate

    Are there two correct types?

No need to be confused. Your eyes may be decieving you. This has the curved leg on the "r" as it should. If I'm incorrect I'm willing to eat crow and admit it but all signs point to this as original.

Look again. There are more points of difference than just the leg of the R. On the NOS just sold, look at the loop of the R toward the front edge, square corners, this one they are rounded. This plate clearly has the rounded leg, unlike the SMC, but to my eyes the NOS plate also has a straight leg.

I'm not saying one is correct and one isn't but these are clearly 2 different plates. Sorry to hijack your thread.

So what is the general consensus before I buy it? Real or Memorex?

It looks original to me but post a pic of the back side. SMC simply has clear letters and silver tape stuck so it looks silver whereas the original has the PORSCHE letters engraved from the back. then they painted over in black from the back. pic shows 356 and SWB 911

I'll get mine out of the garage after work and post pictures, I'm pretty sure it's original since I've had it since before reproductions were available. Hopefully I don't confuse myself further. I am guessing there is more than one OEM plate.

Mine looks just like yours Jos, the R is curved on the loop and the leg.
