What was the air temperature range during your tour? Definitely looks like an exception road to ply our early 911s.

I asked about that --- lake looks pretty big . . . also about some standing water that I'd seen in some of the pastures, coming up. Seems kinda odd for high-Summer
But I got no real answer
This area forms the headwaters for the Kern. The family that I visited has water rights that are 125 years-old. Given the drought situation . . . maybe the rights-holders are holding onto their water?
Coming up from Mohave, temps = mid-90s F/ ~35 C. But once I got up to Kernville, it was noticeably cooler --- ~85 F/ 30 C? . . . but the sun was hot/intense. Shady trees make all the difference
So does the river
The road was outstanding. This is ranch land, and there are warnings about cattle on the roads. But except for two hairpins, and a few roadside homes . . .
. . . it's wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide-open
And did I mention some of the 6%-8% grades?
Think I need a GT3

Nice!
318is is a great car to drive, miss mine.
