"Duel at Daytona" - June 2016 Pano article

Due to a change of address issue, I just recently received my June copy of Panorama. Needless to say, the article & accompanying photos on the 1967 SCCA/ARRC runoff at Daytona was presented perfectly. A salute to one of our own - Randy Wells.

Just when I thought I knew the whole story, a few new nuggets pop out. Thanks again Randy for the research you put into this and your great eye with the camera.

    Cheers. JB

    Thanks, guys!

The best part was getting to shoot in Canepa's studio and hanging out with Davey Jordan. When I visited Davey for an interview he had a whole folder just on his racing history from the year 1967 - complete with several never before seen prints that I was able to scan. One of the nicest guys in the world...

Here's a cleaned up pic from the color original of the image in John's post: Davey and Vasek right before the 1967 AARC finale at Daytona (from the collection of Davey Jordan, photographer unknown).
