    grand sport vette

geeez I think the current vette is soo very ugly.....so choppy, so angular, sooooo vette....lol...actually I have liked some......

if some of the lines were smoothed over.....it would be gorgeous

but Ive always loved the orig GS..what a beast.

The old GS used a rear reflector/light made of white plastic....... ever see it???....I used them on my bicylce in the 70s....serious.

The original Grand Sport remains one of my all time favorites. If not for GM's "ban" on racing, the Cobra vs. Corvette story might have been entirely different. As to the new car-simply an incredible sports car. "very ugly"? I couldn't disagree more. I think it continues Corvette's brash, bold and powerful theme very well. I do like them much better when the appearance option is ordered-paints all the vents, tail light surrounds, etc body color. IMO, it makes for a more cohesive design.

OK, I'll be the clueless millennial dissenting voice but of the two cars above I prefer the new one. I never liked the standard C5/C6/C7 but the Z06 models (or Z07) always look better to me. The Grand Sport ruins the nice lines of the standard C2 which I prefer to the race model. Too many tacked-on vents and Venetian blinds that break up the nice flowing arcs and elegant folds. I feel the Z06/7 aerodynamic devices are better integrated into the styling.

Of course, I'd prefer an RSR to either one of those. With early 911s I prefer the race models to the standard cars because I like the wheel wells filled out.

and all those vents on hood?.....car was lifting at speed...it was the only solution then

I agree with you. last curvy iteration was going somewhere - this one; bastard love child of modern Lamborghini and Audi? with some bad Ferrari thrown in?

Where is the legacy of dual twin round taillights/dual twin exhaust? Curvilinear design?

I didn't realize that I appreciated Corvette until they remade it in bad Tron fractured planar shard motif.

and the hockey stick mirrors? really?

..I dont know vettes very very well.....but as u said, I think the prior style was quite nice....and had real classic beauty w/ room for growth into the future.

Superformance will build a new Grand Sport and it's put together better than any original C2 Corvette.

I'll take an aluminum LS9 with AC, please.

nice kit for sure....body is a home run..., spot on!....., as opposed to the cobra they make.....very popular, but the shape is all wrong...only ERA and Kirkham got it right
