Weber 40IDA 3CP pair - 1968 version with original intake manifolds

    SOLD

These are the correct one year only IDAs for a 1968 911L.

The P designation is for the vacuum port in the butterfly housing. currently set up for an aggressive engine w/ 38mm venturis and tall vent tubes as supplied 46IDA. I have the stacks as well. They are siiting on PMO intakes 35mm/40mm which are available for $300.

Asking $2150 for carbs and original intakes.

    very cool.

i thought the "P" in "IDAP" meant 'pollution,' to signify that the carbs had been de-tuned.

    either way, very nice.

    Thanks,

They are the first series of emission carbs, but I am told that the only difference between these and normal IDA is the vacuum port. I'm told they do not have the less desirable emissions circuit like the later IDTP carbs have. So these are pretty much the same as normal IDA, except w/ a handy vacume port, I'm told.

Someone more knowledgeable may enlighten me.

Still available. Shafts are tight on these and original finish is real good too - good clean castings.
