Thread: Farewell Rudy!

    Farewell Rudy!

After much deliberation, I've decided the time has come for me to pass my beloved "Rudy" along to his next guardian. We shared the past 11 years together...repairing, refurbishing, upgrading, maintaining, cleaning, polishing, etc., but most enjoyable were the 50,000 miles of driving pleasure we experienced together! I've had the opportunity to own many vehicles over the past 45 years, and I can truly say that none of them matched the pride of ownership or the unique, exhilarating driving experience of this early 911! Although Rudy has moved on, he will never be forgotten.

My only regret is passing on the aubergine '73 sunroof S with LSD, sport seats, and power windows that I came across back in 2014...and I decided the $25k price was too high

In closing, I want to thank everyone here for your comradery over the years. This community's wealth of knowledge along with its willingness to openly provide others with opinions, suggestions, and assistance is truly remarkable!

    Best wishes to all!

That '67 Beetle must have corrupted you and brought out your inner Minimalist. Best of luck with your future automotive endeavors.

I'm with Mike; looking at a '97 993TT currently. Same money as an early S "driver" with tons of upside.

Frank - it was always nice to see that car locally.

Been driving a 993 coupe all week and its very easy to live with....especially as I am growing older.
