    Guys,

Just for the pleasure to help, since I received a lot on this forum. I have no personal interest since I do NOT need any.

But, I may have found a company willing to produce some hose, with the red fabric. Yes, it would be made in China... But where else?

Still have to learn a few details, like min order qty, color match, and what kind of standards they're following.

If there is any interest, please, do tell it here, and state how many meter you'd be in for.

I would probably need a good sample for the color and the braid pattern (if customisable by the company) or a RAL reference for the reference. 5 to 10 cm would be great.

Last thing I couldn't put several 1000's on the table so if there is any semi pro here willing to take on, good on you!

    Regards

    Olivier.

I'll post samples of the -6, -8, & -10 NOS hose I have at some point.

I'm afraid applying red surface coating to a black hose would look a little hinky. The original 1540 has Aeroquip name and part numbers silkscreened on outer sheath so it would be mandatory to retain that feature if possible.
Being firmly anchored in the HOTTEST Porsche market in the U.S. (Pun intended), I would gladly take the lead in this endeavor. We still do tons of R12 work so non barrier hose would not scare me in the least. BUT, since we're talking new production here it would only make sense to offer a barrier product. The challenge may be in using the Aeroquip steel reusable fittings with it.

Thanks Frank. I have the rivets figured out on the early grille, now just need to find the right ones and then build a jig.

Show of hands for takers. Let's say $750 per set as an intro special. They will definitely go up after that.

    Please PM me if interested.
