    Silver Plated Early Original Badge

    I have seen several hundred original badges and have never seen a silver plated one. Believe me this is an original early smooth back badge, Has the correct pointed shape between the top leg and chest, first and last "T" in Stuttgart has the short stem and you can see the correct bare metal color in the chipped black bar. Anyone ever see one of these?

    I have not seen one but the plating will not stick to the enamel. Since it is brass under the chips, this was plated after it was manufactured/enameled and fired.

    Not to hijack, but does anybody have experience with replating the gold on an old badge without damaging the enamel?

    no metals will stick to the enamel. Have it plated and polished and it will be as good as new

    Yes, though it has been superseded. PET Pdf thing lists 901.559.215.20; current number : 7L5-853-611-B
