New 2.4 911S throttle bodies from Mittelmotor, any opinions?

Has anyone here used the newly manufactured throttle bodies from this company Mittelmotor in Germany?
Listed on ebay for around $1,400 for the pair.

If you have any opinions, please chime in. Thanks

Well, they copied the 2.0 & 2.2 911S MFI bodies from 1969 and 1970-71. The 2.4 bodies were configured a little different in that the throttle shaft stop screws were relocated to react the lever arms directly; the earlier ones would put the throttle shaft into torsion when the stops were contacted. In addition to the throttle stop location, the beam connecting the throttle bores in the early design is somewhat limber while the later version was of a more robust design. This beam can be seen in my first picture and the earlier beam is seen in the Mittlemotor throttle body.

The first picture shows the late design and the second shows the earlier version, you can see how the throttle stop on the later version eliminates twist of the throttle shaft when throttles are closed. Why the earlier version was adopted for copying is probably that the earlier version would be capable of installing a larger throttle plate diameter (44mm diameter maximum) than the later version (42mm diameter maximum).

Frankly the throttles are the least of our problems, wish someone would make the proper air stacks for the 2.4S.

Thank you for pointing that out Paul.
It looks like you are restoring throttle bodies now along with the carburetors. I just looked at that set for sale on your website, very nice.
