    67 sport seats with headrests

Is anyone aware of the 1967 sport seats ever having the add on headrest like the standard seats did with the external brackets and thumb turn adjustment? Just curious what folks did with these seats if they wanted a headrest.

I've seen at least one vintage picture of a sport seat with the 356 style barrel headrest. No idea if it was for the factory but they got the mounts there somehow.

Currently in the process of having a pair of 67 sport seats restored and weighing whether to put the tootsie rolls on.

    Positive or negative?

The beauty is in the detail.....although clunky it has an appeal in the methods used to connect a headrest.
If it was on the car you must do it and be proud.

I was thinking of adding them as a safety feature. I am assuming they would be of help in preventing neck injuries or am I being a bit too optimistic?

Design site line puts the top of the seats even with top of doors. Porsche let everyone decide (options mean money), but I doubt that the young Mr. Porsche would have added, if in fact he did do the 911/912 design. Porsche didn't add them on all cars until Feds made them do it.
