906 engine case vs '69T case

I am building a 906 spec engine and wondered what the differences were between an original 906 mag case and say a 2.0 '69T case.

Would a '69T case be ok to build such a beast on or is an aluminum case better? I know the 906 is mag and would love to stay with mag.

    Thanks so much

    Lots of differences actually.

    Just to name a few:

    - Additional screw near the oil vent
    - Air fins under case (a little like an aluminum engine)
    - Air fins on sides of the case
    - I think that there is no provision for injection pump support
    - It is sand cast while you mag case is injection cast.
    - Differents machining arroung the distributor port

and so on, and so on.

You should go to Armando Serrano's Pbase website. He has some good pictures of an original 906 case, as well as other parts.

What are you building this engine for?

    Olivier.
